Addressing Fears and Anxiety in Periods of Change

LiveTalks are hour long audio-only podcasts.

Description: Many of us have experienced sudden changes throughout our lives, and none more than in recent times. These periods of change can particularly impact our relationships whether we are caregivers, children, friends, significant others or clinicians. As Occupational Therapy professionals, we may witness first-hand the impact of these changes on our clients and their families. Nurturing our relationships, especially through these periods, is important to all of us. In this three-part series we will focus on strengthening relationships and trust. First, Dr Ed Tronick and Dr Claudia Gold will discuss the power of discord in relationships and how to harness this to develop trust. Next, we will delve into the effect of trauma on our therapeutic relationships with Maude LeRoux. We will wrap up the series in with Dr Karen Levine with a discussion on how to help our clients and children address their fears and anxiety during periods of change.
