Description: This webinar covers the implications and development of executive functioning skills, as well as specific strategies for improving them, including discussion of the essential elements of an executive function-supportive learning environment.
By the end of this webinar viewers will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of a common language for executive functioning skills and transformations.
- Describe elements of a strategic, executive functioning-supportive classroom.
- Implement appropriate home and school strategies to support executive functioning processes.

About the Speaker: Dr. Kelly Robinson has spent the last two decades working with children and families as a therapist, teacher, advisor, scholar and mediator in the field of special education. After receiving her undergraduate teaching certification at SUNY Cortland and her Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology at SUNY Geneseo she moved to Massachusetts to complete her Clinical Fellowship conducting support groups and designing therapeutic programs for individuals with disabilities involving communication, cognition, executive function, and emotional regulation. Kelly received her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Emerson College in Boston and completed the Social Justice Mediation Certification program in the Department of Legal Studies Alternative Conflict Resolution at University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is currently the Director of Research and Professional Development, Senior Coach and Supervisor for Thinking Outside the Classroom.
