LiveTalks are hour long audio-only podcasts. This LiveTalk is part of the Sensory Integration and Evidence-Based Practice bundle.

Description: This lecture will discuss the evidence related to sensory integration deficits and sensory-based interventions in relation to mental health concerns.  There has been an increased awareness that many individuals with sensory integration problems have mental health concerns.  Similarly, many individuals with primary mental health concerns demonstrate sensory processing problems and benefit from the use of sensory integration intervention and sensory-based strategies. The talk will explore the evidence examining relations between sensory processing problems and mental health concerns and the use of sensory-based interventions with those with mental health concerns.
