Description: In conjunction with AOTA joining the Choosing Wisely Campaign, SPIRAL will be offering a series of LiveTalks in 2021 to assist occupational therapy practitioners and other professionals to apply the recommendations made by AOTA while using the Sensory Integration Frame of Reference within diverse populations. The primary focus of the talks will target the recommendation: “Don’t provide sensory based interventions to individual children or youth without documented assessment results of difficulties processing or integrating sensory information”. Leading experts will join us for two conversations on each population area, the first will focus on assessment and the second will focus on intervention. We will begin the series with the Autism Spectrum Disorder population, then move through Praxis, Trauma, Schools and finish with Adults. Our speakers include Renee Watling, Teresa May-Benson, Maude LeRoux and Anne Trecker. By purchasing the full series you will receive a 40% discount over registering for each individual course.
